About the Founder and Director
Edna Olive, Ph.D., Ed.D.
Having planned to be an educator since the age of 6, Dr. Edna Olive is dedicated to the service and inspiration of others. Walking in the footsteps of her mother who taught in schools over 40 years, Edna’s career began as an elementary public school teacher. Her professional experiences have spanned over 25 years and she has supported thousands through her work with individuals, programs, and organizations. Since the beginning of her journey, Dr. Olive has served in a number of capacities including teacher, state education officer, principal, graduate professor, director of education, consultant, author and life coach. In 2000, she founded ROCKET, Inc. to realize her vision of supporting others around the world. Some of Dr. Olive’s recent professional accomplishments include Secretary of The Board of Directors of Reclaiming Youth International, Inc., consulting editor for the publication Reclaiming Children and Youth, Master Trainer for the Life Space Crisis Intervention Institute, keynote speaker and well-noted presenter at several international conferences.
Distinguished in the fields of elementary, secondary, and special education, Dr. Olive holds multiple degrees from The American University and The George Washington University including Masters of Education, Educational Specialist, and Doctor of Education. She is also certified as a Personal, Professional and Spiritual Life Coach and has taught graduate level courses in Life Coaching. In 2001, she developed the curriculum for Positive Behavior Facilitation, a comprehensive course for those interested in supporting positive behavior in youth. Dr. Olive partnered with Research Press in 2007 and published the book, Positive Behavior Facilitation (PBF): Understanding and Intervening in the Behavior of Youth. In 2017, PBF was expanded to Positive Behavior Facilitation for Leaders, Administrators and Managers (PBF-LAM). This course equips those in leadership and managerial positions with the necessary tools to support positive behavior in adults and maximize performance in the workplace.
Since the establishment of ROCKET, Inc., Dr. Olive has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad connecting with people and places interested in enhancing their work. Still on her journey that began at 6, Edna remains devoted to meeting the needs of others. She believes that serving others is a calling and a choice. As she continues to seek out ways to be a contribution, Edna stays committed to the vision of ROCKET, Inc.; to provide experiences that expand the minds and inspire of the lives of others!
